The Cherokee Advance  16 July 1886 P 3 July 16, 1886
Alf Dillard and Mrs. Elizabeth Davis, the couple who eloped together from 
Gwinnett county--the man leaving a sick wife and the woman five children, and of 
whom an account of their arrest was given in last week's Advance, were turned 
over to Wm. Daniel and others last Saturday.  Mr. Daniel is the woman's brother 
and paid Deputy Sheriff Curtis $25. for arresting the parties and notifying him.
