Davis was a passenger in a car driven by William Glenn Robinson, 18, of Suwanee. The state patrol report said the car went out of control on a curve, skidded on wet pavement, hit a utility pole and stopped in a pasture. The report said the car was traveling at a high rate of speed. Robinson and another youth, Harold Albert Williams, 19, of Winder, were injured in the mishap. Robinson suffered a broken right leg and multiple lacerations to his head and body. Williams received a fractured jaw and multiple lacerations to his body. Davis was among 22 persons killed in Georgia traffic accidents during the long Christmas holidays. Four Georgians were killed in out- of-state accidents during the 78 hour weekend. The state patrol had predicted 20 persons would die during the holidays. No one was injured in several other accidents in the county investigated by the State Patrol and the Gwinnett County Police Department.
