Clower Mr. Thomas O. Clower, Sr., one of our well known and highly esteemed citizens, died last Friday at his home in Rockbridge district. Mr. Clower had reached the advanced age of seventy-seven and had lived a long and useful life. His remains were laid to rest Saturday at Zoar church, Centerville, Rev. F. Q. Echols, of Loganville, and Rev. W. W. Cash, of Lawrencefille, conducting the exercises, with Undertaker Sammon in charge. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. F. C. Sawyer, Sulphus Springs, Ga.; Mrs. J. C. Ford, Grayson, Mrs. G. W. Shell, Loganville, and Mrs. T. Rawlins, Stone Mountain; four sons, Mr. E. O. Clower, Loganville; Mr. T. A. Clower, Jr., Douglas, Ga.; Mr. D. A. Clower, Grayson, and Mr. H. B. Clower, Snellville. Additional Comments: Thomas Alvin Clower, Sr. was born 2 December 1857 in Gwinnett Co., GA to John Wesley Clower and Sarah Melvina (Martin) Clower. He married Althara Ann Rutledge on 1 December 1878 in Gwinnett Co., GA.
