His body was found hanging to a tree early Saturday morning, being still warm. He left a letter explaining his suicide. He was indicted by the grand jury last week for robbery, and as soon as he heard about it he left town. He returned, however, Friday night on the 10 o’clock train from Atlanta and committed suicide sometime during the night. In the letter he denies the charge made against him and states that the trouble and disgrace heaped upon him was the cause of the suicide. He was engaged to be married soon and this charge brought against him on the eve of his engagement was more than he could stand.
