Norcross Citizen Dies Late Saturday 

Norcross, Ga., November 2 – (Special) – A.J. Mewborn, 77, died at his home 
near Norcross Sunday afternoon at  1 o’clock.

He is survived by his widow, four sons, J.E., of Atlanta; W.H., F.J. and C.E., 
of Duluth; three daughters, Mrs. A.H. Smith, of Chamblee, Ga.; Mrs. A.B. 
Lowry, of Norcross, and Mrs. C.E. Buffington, of Stone Mountain.

The deceased was a member of the Methodist church and had farmed in this 
section for 40 years, coming from Elbert county.  Funeral services will be 
held from the home Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock, and interment will be in 
Duluth.

Transcriber's note: This article has conflicting dates of death and I don't 
know which date is correct.  I'm not related to or researching the Mewborn 
family.
