Throughout this long period of years, beginning near Lawrenceville, in the adjoining county of Gwinnett, on the 3rd day of July 1824, he pursued the honorable and useful vocation of a farmer, except while engaged in the military services of the Southern Confederacy, which he entered in the spring of 1862, and served valiantly until the end of the war with the 42nd Georgia Regiment, one of the noted and famous commands known in Georgia's history. In early manhood he intermarried with Miss Charlotte Summerland, who preceded him to the spirit land about 14 years ago, where we humbly trust they are now reunited in never-ending bliss. *note: This document shows Charlotte to be a Summerland. In all other material I have it as Summerlin This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
