Verner Died Tuesday Night Mr. David F. Verner died at his home in Buford Tuesday night after a short illness. Mr. Verner was 75 years of age and for years was a prominent planter. He stood high in his community and will be sadly missed. He was twice married, first to Mrs. Harris, and is survived by his second wife, who was Miss Legg, and three children, Mrs. Tom Shadburn, Mrs. Bryan and Raymond Verner, a student at Georgia Tech. Mr. Verner was a member of the Buford Methodist cshurch [sic], and his funeral was preached there Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. R. M. Dickson, the pastor, assisted by Rev. R. L. Lawson. Judge E. A. Dobbs also made a few remarks on the life and character of the deceased and the warm friendship which existed between them. The body was laid to rest in the Buford cemetery with the beautiful grave ceremony of the Masons, Grand Marshal B. L. Patterson acting as worshipful master. Several of the Lawrenceville brethren as well as visitors from otehr nearby lodges were in attendance. Additional Comments: David F.
