H. A. Perkins and his wife, Martha E. McElroy, had 10 children, 8 of whom survived his murder: Judge F., Mina A., John W., James Avery, M. E. (Lizzie), Zeno McElroy, Ada M., and George Joseph. Two children died in Georgia. Z. H. A.'s father and mother are buried in the New Pentecost United Methodist Church Cemetery at Statham/Winder, GA. Z. H. A.'s wife, Martha, died two years later and is buried beside him at Whitt, Parker Co., TX. Zeno H. Alonzo Perkins was the grandson of Constantine Perkins of Morgan Co. and Sarah Boring Perkins Pentecost. Constantine died about 1817. His burial place is unknown. Sarah died Feb. 14, 1894 in Jackson Co., GA,and is buried at Statham/Winder, GA in the New Pentecost United Methodist Church Cemetery. Additional Comments: Zeno H. Alonzo Perkins' siblings appear to have been: Judge H. G., Sarah, David, George, Caroline, Melissa, Mary, Francis, and Ermaner(Emma)Perkins. Any information about these families would be appreciated. Because of the untimely deaths of Z. H. A. Perkins and Martha E. McElroy, all contacts with the Georgia family were lost. Z. H. A. and Martha were living at Hog Mountain in Gwinnett Co.in the 1880 census. No further records have been found.
