Mason, Gwinnett County, Georgia Last will and Testament of Charley Mason Recorded in book D, page 143 June 6th 1876 James T. Lamkin, Ordinary. Filed in office May 1st 1876. Georgia Gwinnett ) In the name of God amen I Charley Mason in said State and county at present and in the enjoyment of reasonable health of body of mind and memory but remembering that it is appointed for man once to die do here by make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. Item 1rst I commend my body to the dust from whence it came to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner and my Soul to God who gave it. Item 2nd As to the Estate and property with which a kind Providence has been pleased to bless me I wish to dispose of it as follows to wit: I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Obedient MASON all my Estate both real and personal after the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses to have full controll of all the property belonging to my Estate during her natural life by the consent as d***ice of Alexander Marion MASON my son, and at her death my whole Estate except one lot of land lying in Cobb County containing fifty *** acres which I Will and bequeath to my son Willis Wiley MASON to dispose of as he pleases as his full share of my Estate the number of the Lot ** rememberec (sic) at present the remainder of my whole Estate to be equally divided between my Son Alexander Marion MASON and my two youngest Daughters Mallissa Caroline &? Anjalena (Angelina) Maskaline for the three afore named to have to at their own disposal as their full share of my Estate. I give and bequeath unt (unto) my son Willard Pinkney MASON's children one dollar and Parthenia Emaline BURNS one dollar as their full share of my Estate. In Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 31rst December 1874. Signed Sealed and published by the testator in presence of us who subscribed the same as witness in the presence of the Testator and of each other the day and year above written. MASON two of the subscribing witnesses to said will being duly sworn d**ose and say that they saw Charles MASON sign and publish the within and foregoing as his last will & testament while of sound and? disposing mind that they witnessed the same for him at his request and in presence and also in the presence of Parthenia A.? MASON the other subscribing witnesses to said will who also signed in the presence of testator and that the same was executed voluntarily by him on the day it p**ports to have been executed.
