Sherrie Crow, Atlanta, GA The text of the page is as follows (exactly as written): Life and works of my Great Grand Father Rev Singleton Sisk. was borned in South Carolina Pendleton District June 4-1802. Married to Mahala Tatum in May 3-1821 Moved to Georgia and settled in Habersham County in 1825- Joined the Baptist Church at Nacoochie and was baptized by Rev James West in May 1835. Commenced exercising in public in 1839. Ordained to the Gospel ministry in April 23- 1842 Died Nov 19--1866 The last meeting he ever held was at Cleveland Church in White County. The last text he preached on was found in the book of Nahum. First Chapter and 7th verse. "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble and he knoweth them that trust in Him. " When done preaching he gave an invitation to saint and sinner to come forward and give him their hand as he felt he would never be with them again. So he began to sing Come humble sinners in whose hearts A thousand thoughts resolve With the congregation stirred as never before many were converted and shouted God's praise. He went home and taken his bed and on Nov 19- 1866 went home to lie with Jesus And his works follow him Written by his Great Grandaughter Nellie Fuller Daniel Oct 17-- 1923 Smyrna GA
