Helen remained in Darien for awhile after her husband's death but she moved to Augusta Georgia and died there on 28 April 1900. Helen, her husband and two children are buried at St. Andrew Cemetery, Darien, McIntosh County, Georgia. The cemetery is shown on FHC microfiche 6046960-37 Vol. 9 #35 - 38 Daughter Rosa W. Stanford married William Fraser and they were in the vicinity of Savannah and Darien Georgia in the 1870's. Two of their young children are buried in the St. Andrew Cemetery in Darien. One child had a death notice published in the Savannah newspaper: Savannah Morning News, Tuesday October 26, 1875, DIED KENNETH BARCLAY FRASER, only son of Wm and Rosa W. Fraser ( nee Rosa W. Stanford ) aged, 13 months. A son, Clifford Fraser was living with his grandmother and his aunt Clifford in the 1880 Habersham County Census. Daughter, Estelle's 1920 obituary gave her sister Rosa's address as Vancouver. Here's a birth and death registration in British Columbia and you could suspect its Rosa ( Stanford ) Fraser's grandson. http://www.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/textual/governmt/vstats/v_ev... Mary C. and Zoe R. have grave markers but there's no marker for the daughter Clara I. Col. John R. Stanford took the Reconstruction Oath and became a registered voter in 1867 / 68 in Habersham County. But he's not shown in the county's 1870 Census and he's presumed deceased. You can believe he's buried in the Old Clarkesville cemetery with his three daughters and his grandson that preceded him in death. Daughter Clifford A. Stanford married A. J. Ward on 10 August 1885 in Beaumont, Texas. Their eldest son, young Stanford de Revere Ward, visited his aunt, Mrs. Helen Barclay in Augusta in 1898 and his visit was reported in the newspaper. The 14 August 1898 Augusta Chronicle reported his visit and wrote a paragraph about his grandfather, John Kenan Montford Charlton, of Wilkes County and another paragraph about his maternal grandfather, Maj. John R. Stanford. The A. J. Ward household can be seen in the 1900 Census, on page 51A, Beaumont, Jefferson County Texas. Sister Estelle's 1920 obituary gave Mrs. Clifford A. Ward's address as Washington, D.C. Daughter Mary Charlton Stanford married Edward A. Hollingsworth on 30 August 1877 in Habersham County. They lived in Augusta Georgia and they're buried in Augusta's Magnolia Cemetery. Mary died on 11 March 1884 but her husband Edward lived 80 years and died on 2 July 1934. Son John R. Stanford ( Jr.) is shown married in the 1900 Atlanta Georgia Census. See 1900 Census, page 222A, Atlanta, Fulton County GA. Sister Estelle's 1920 obituary gave her brother John's address as Buenos Aires, Argentina. Daughter Estelle married John Berrien Hollingsworth on 16 October 1884 in Augusta Ga. John B. and Edward A. Hollingsworth were brothers. John B. Hollingsworth 1858 – 1900 and Estelle ( Stanford ) Hollingsworth 1860 - 1920 are buried in Augusta's Westover Cemetery. Cordelia Stanford is listed in the 1880 Habersham county census but later she lived in Augusta Georgia. She spent the winter seasons in Darien Georgia with her daughter Helen before Helen moved to Augusta. Cordelia also lived in Atlanta Georgia, perhaps with her son John and she died 27 November 1889 at her daughter's home in Beaumont Texas. Her remains were returned to Augusta Georgia and buried in the Magnolia Cemetery plot with her daughter, Mary C. Hollingsworth. There are no grave markers on the plot but the cemetery has a searchable database on line and you can find them listed. http://www.augustaga.gov/departments/trees_landscaping/grave...
