Just outside of Clarkesville, Hwy 17 will split off to the right and go North. Take Hwy 17 to Sam Bell Road and turn right. The Essex farm is at 1545 Sam Bell Road. The owner will give permission to go to the cemetery, which is visible from Sam Bell Road at the top of a tree covered knoll on the bend of the road just beyond the owner's driveway. It is well taken care of by the current owner. Banks on 27 Aug 1876. Additional Comments: "Sacred to the Memory of John Harkins who was born May the 2d. 1804 and died Jan 12th 1847." "Our loved ones are together in glory. Eliza A. Moore - William R. Moore. She was the sunshine of our home, he is not dead but sleepeth." "In memory of Ruth, wife of W. H. Banks. Born Dec 16, 1854 - Died Aug 13, 1897."
