English, of the State of Georgia, of the County of Habersham, of the first part, and W. P. Carrington of the State of South Carolina, of the Charleston, S. C., of the second part, WITNESSETH: That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred and Fifty ($450.00) Dollars, in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, and conveyed, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell, and convey, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Habersham and White Counties, being part of lots numbers Eighty-two (82) + Eighty-three (83) in third (3rd) Land District of said Counties, and bounded as follows: Beginning on the west side of a rock corner on J. W. Fuller’s line; thence North along the old dam to the Creek; thence with the Creek to the shoals above the dam, thence North East to a pine; thence North to a White Oak; thence West to the Creek; thence with the Creek to W. M. Corn’s line; thence along said line to a Black Oak; thence South West to the head of the Creek; thence South with J. W. Fuller’s line to the beginning corner, containing Forty (40) acres, more of less, together with old griss mill and all other appurtenances thereon. To have and to hold the said bargained premises, together with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances thereof, to the same being, belonging, or in anywise appertaining, to the only proper use, benefit, and behoof of him, the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, forever, in fee simple. And the said party of the first part, for her heirs, executors, and administrators, will warrant and forever defend the right and title of the above described property unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the claims of all persons whomever. In witness whereof, the said party of the first part has hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal, the day and year first above written. Emma S.
