Book U-275-276 Elizabeth Farmer } James Farmer Jr. } William Farmer Jr.} Lewis Farmer } To } Allen Acre and } Ray Whitfield } State of Georgia } Habersham County } This indenture made and entered into this the 2nd day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eighteen Hundred and Fifty-one between Elizabeth Farmer (legal wife of William Farmer deceased) James Farmer, William Farmer Jr. and Lewis Farmer legal heirs of the said William Farmer Sr. Deceased of the state and County first afore mentioned of the one part and Allen Acre of the County of Franklin and Ray Whitfield of the county of Habersham of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Elizabeth, James, William and Lewis as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred Dollars to them in hand paid the receipt hereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Acre and Whitfield as aforesaid a certain lot tract or parcel of Land known and described as follows to wit: Being known as the Mill Tract of the said William Farmer SR deceased situated lying and being in the county of Habersham and State aforesaid on the Middle Fort of Broad river joining lands of Hulocy Renolds, Loftis & the lands of the said parties of the first part being separated from the last mentioned by a line commencing at a white Oak comer on the line of the said Loftes near an old still house and running thence S. 35 10/2 E. 41 chains to a B.O. stump corner to said lands comprising three hundred acres more or less one part of which was granted to Polly Hancock and the other part to Wm. Devoraux and conveyed by the said Polly & William unto the said Wm. Farmer SR deceased. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land unto the said Acre and Whitfield as aforesaid. Their heirs executors Administrators or assigns the said parties of the first part do hereby for themselves their heirs and all creditors of the estate of the said William Farmer SR dec’d agree bind and obligate themselves to warrant and forever defend the rights title in fee simple unto the said parties of the second part together with all the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any way appertaining.
