Ray Whitfield to Jesse Austin}

Georgia}

Habersham County}                                   Deed to Land on Broad River

 

            This Indenture made this the twenty fourth day of December Eighteen 
hundred and fifty one between Ray Whitfield of the one part and Jesse Austin of 
the other part.  
Witnesseth that the said Ray Whitfield for and in consideration of the sum of 
two hundred and twenty five dollars to him in hand paid at and before the 
sealing and delivering of their presents to the receipt hereof in hereby 
acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by their presents do 
grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Jesse Austin, part of the tract of 
land situate lying and being in said county on the waters of Broad River 
containing one hundred and twenty five acres more or less granted to Darious 
Echols on the fifth day of March Eighteen hundred and twenty one, beginning on 
a Black Oak corner on Said tract, made and known between the parties, thence 
running a west course across said tract of land to a pine corner, made and 
known between the said parties, thence taking such lines and courses as will 
appear by the original plat.  To have and to hold said tract or parcel of 
land.  Also one other tract or parcel of land beginning at a white oak corner, 
thence N 17 S 15 chs to a pine stump, thence N. 62 E 12 chs to a pine thence N. 
26 to a pine, thence N 74 E 3 chains to a black Oak thence N. 7 W. 11 chs pine 
thence N. 83 W. 24 chs.  BO. Stump.  N. 12 chs to a pine thence strait across 
to a pine thence S. 22 E 10 chs to a black oak thence 12 W 19 chs to a pine 
corner, from thence to the beginning corner containing One hundred and twenty 
five acres more or less in said County of Habersham on the waters of Broad 
River.  To have and to hold the said bargained premises unto him the said Jesse 
Austin his heirs and assigns together with all & singular the rights members 
and appurtenances there of to the same manner thereof belonging or appertaining 
and every part there after the said Jesse Austin his heirs and assigns to his 
and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple.  And the 
said Ray Whitfield from himself his heirs Executors and administrator, the said 
Bargained land and premises and every part there of unto him the said Jesse 
Austin his heirs and assigns will forever warrant and do find the right and 
title thereof against the claims of themselves and against the claim of all 
other persons whatever .  In witness whereof the said Ray Whitfield hath here 
unto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
