This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Donnie Pickard deemay@netusa1.net ==================================================================== Habersham Co., GA Book N-640 Gray Whitfield to Allen Acrey Mortgage on Personal Property Habersham County, Georgia Know all men by these presents that I Gray Whitfield of the County and State aforesaid have bargained & sold by way of Mortgage to Allen Acrey of the same place the better to secure the payment of one note of hand bearing even date with these presents for the sum of fifty dollars given by the said Gray Whitfield to the said Allen Acrey now for the better securing of said debt I Gray Whitfield have bargained and sold by way of mortgage one bay horse with a bald face, three years old next June, one mans saddle, one bridle, one blanket, three head of cattle, one spotted cow, and spotted calf, one ___ heifer, two or three years old, thirteen head of hogs, one red sow, three shoats, one spotted sow, three black shoats, one spotted sow and five pigs to have and to hold the above bargained property by way of Mortgage for the purpose aforesaid to the said Allen Acrey his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple.
