Marius Whitfield to Drury B. Whitfield} {US Stamp} 153-13
State of Georgia – Habersham Co.}

This Indenture made and entered into this 22nd day of January 1868 
between Marius Whitfield of the State and county aforesaid of the 
one part and Drury B. Whitfield of the State Georgia and county of 
Rubin of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Mareus Whitfield 
for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty dollars to him in hand
paid by the said Drury B. Whitfield the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged doth bargained and sold and these presents doth 
promise(?) release and forever quit claim to Drury B.Whitfield his 
heirs and assigns all the rights title claim or demands that I have 
or may have _ in and to lot of land (No) 153 in the 13 First of 
Habersham Co. Agreeable to original survey and containing two 
hundred and fifty acres more or less with all the rights members and
appurtenances to said lot of land in any wise appertaining or 
belonging to have and to hold said lot of land to the said Drury B. 
Whitfield so that neither the siad Mareus Whitfield nor his heirs __
one other person or persons claiming ensure him shall at any time 
hereafter by any way or member(?) have any claims or demands right 
or title to be aforesaid lot of land ----____ appurtmences or any 
part thereby.

In witness whereof the said Mareus Whitfield hath hereunto set his 
hand and affixed seal the day and year just above written.
