Jones Additional Comments: Several other Muster Roll cards include dates of 1863 when in Hospital in signed by Capt. Byrd Another one dated Mar. Apr. 1864, dated Oct. 1864 - Home on furlough, sick, gave R. A. Chitwood (his brother) his Power of Attorney. Was in Wayside Hosptial, or Gen. Hosp. No. 9 in Feb. 1863 Was in Wofford's Brigade Aug. 8, 1863, Transferred to Danville, VA and then admitted to Jackson Hospital, Richmond, VA, with "Diarehea" Another one dated March. 21, 1865, when captutred at Bentonville (State not given), received at New Berne N.C. on April 101865 by Capt. Perkeins assigned to Co. 24, Remarks, "Habersham, GA" Sent to Hart's Island, NY. He was released by signing oath of allegiance on June 15, 1865, by Gov. Order. 104.
