MONTEREY HOTEL SOLD FOR $200,000

Valuable property at Mt. Airy changed hands last week.  Dr. and Mrs. R. S. Barr, 
who are widely known in the local real estate circles of Atlanta, on last 
Saturday completed negotiations through the Grant-Jeter Realty Company of 
Atlanta, by which they came into possession of the Monterey Hotel property, at 
Mt. Airy; one of the principal summer resorts in this county.
	The deal was handled by T. E. Swilling, a representative of the Grant-
Jeter Company, and involved a consideration of approximately $200,000.  The 
hotel property, consisting of a three-story, fireproof structure of 100 rooms 
and four acres of choice land, was obtain by Dr. and Mrs. Barr in exchange for a 
farm near Forsyth, consisting of 1, 106 acres of choice land, and a cash 
consideration. – Clarkesville Advertiser.
