William Benton of Louisburg died Tuesday of an apparent heart attack. He was a 
native of Georgia and a son of Mae Savage Benton of Warrenton and the late 
S.M. Benton.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Betsey Benton, two 
daughters, two sons, a sister, Mrs. C.E. Hyde of Murphy; and four brothers, 
C.J. Benton of Atlanta, Ga., Bob Benton of Cornelia, Ga., Selby Benton of 
Warrenton and Walter Benton of Tarboro. 
Services will be held at 11 am in Louisburg United Methodist Church. Burial 
will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
