Royal ‘Butch’ Parnell Jr.

Funeral services for Royal “Butch” Parnell Jr., 50, of Louisiana, will be 
held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 14, at King Solomon Baptist Church. The Rev. 
Benjiman Scott will officiate, with burial in Western Cemetery in Louisiana.

Mr. Parnell died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in 
Gonzales, La.

Survivors include his wife, Ada McCoy Parnell of Gonzales, La., parents, 
Royal Sr. and Blanche Parnell of Lutcher, La.; children, Royal Parnell III, 
formerly of Cornelia; Jordan and Andrew Parnell, Shanette Esko, DeAndre 
Scott, Kimberly Gray, Trenea Davis, Tracey Parker, Stacey Davis, Charlie 
Parker Jr., James Davis Jr., Dustyn Davis, Stacey Parker; sisters, Joanne 
Parnell Fernandez, Delores Boudreaux, Mattie Lee Parnell; brothers, Raymond 
Parnell, Mell Parnell, Bruce Parnell; and a number of other relatives.

Brazier-Watson Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, La., is in charge of 
arrangements.
