Toccoa, GA., Sept. 29 -- MRS. ELLA MAE DAVIS, 69, died at her residence in 
Toccoa at 3 o'clock this morning following an extended illness.
Mrs. Davis was the widow of Marion H. Davis, who preceded her to the grave a 
number of years ago.  She was born in Stephens County, May 23, 1883, and spent 
most of her life in Toccoa.
She was a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Yoda Whitmire, Mrs. Myron McClain, Mrs. 
Geraldine Williams, all of Toccoa, Mrs. Oscar Adams of Colbert, GA and Mrs. 
Charles Snyder of Greenville, SC; two sons, Clarence Davis of Macon and Paul 
Davis of Toccoa.
She also leaves five sisters, Mrs. Rosa Hicks, Mrs. R. V. Whitmire, Mrs. H. C. 
Carpenter and Miss Cleo Taylor, all of Toccoa, and Mrs. J. W. Adams of 
Greenville, SC; three brothers, Oscar Taylor and T. H. Taylor of Toccoa and C. 
M. Taylor, Jr. of East Point.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Tuesday from Carnes Creek Baptist Church 
near Toccoa with Rev. Frank Moorehead, Dr. A. T. Cline and Rev. Joe Moore 
officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery with nephews serving as 
pallbearers.
