Dr. Macâ McCleskey Graveside services for E.O. “Dr. Macâ€� McCleskey, 99, of Clarkesville, formerly of Atlanta, were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 30, at Crestlawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Lendell Ainsworth officiated. Dr. McCleskey died Friday, June 28, 2002. A retired pharmacist, Dr. McCleskey owned and operated the Hemphill Ave. Pharmacy from 1925 to 1980. He was a 50-year member of the Georgia Pharmaceutical Association Honor Club, a 50-year member of the John Rosier Masonic Lodge and received a Certificate of Award from Mercer University for outstanding service in the field of pharmacy for 55 years. He was preceded in death by wives, Grace Light McCleskey and Cleva P. McCleskey. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Dan Knight of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Gayle and Marianna McCleskey of Alpharetta; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, Clarkesville. Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, Roswell, was in charge of arrangements.
