Eugene Talmadge Fowler 

Funeral services for Eugene
Talmadge Fowler, 57, of Cornelia will be held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South
Chapel. The Rev. Terry Rice will officiate, with burial
in Level Grove Cemetery. 

Mr. Fowler died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, at his residence
following an extended illness. 

Born in Oglethorpe County on July 26, 1945, he was the
son of the late Alvin Edward and Doris Alford Gaines
Fowler. Mr. Fowler was employed by Pepsi Cola with four
years of service and was of the Baptist faith. 

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wade Fowler of
Cornelia; daughters, Telisha Fowler of Cornelia, Tammy
Burgess of Atlanta; son, Billy Joe Fowler of Atlanta;
stepson, Anthony Wade of Cornelia; sisters, Linda Holman
of Jefferson, Vickie Fowler and Kathy Bryson, both of
South Carolina; brothers, Jerry Fowler of Comer, Wayne
Fowler, Noel Fowler, James Fowler and Bobby Fowler, all
of South Carolina; half-brother, Matt Gaines Jr. of
Madison County; and four grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today, Aug.
13, at the funeral home. 

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the
Eugene Fowler Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 866, Baldwin, GA
30511. 

Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, is in
charge of arrangements.
