Vicky Batson Hicks 
Oct. 21, 1952--April 3, 2004 

Vicky Batson Hicks, 51, of Cleveland died Saturday at
Emory University Hospital following an extended
illness. 

She was born in Habersham County. She was the owner and
operator of Habersham Flowerland. She also did tax
preparation for H&R Block. She was a member of Good
News Baptist Church, where she was the church pianist
and Sunday School teacher. 

Survivors include her parents, the Rev. Gene and Evelyn
Loudermilk Batson, Cleveland; daughter, Allyson Jones,
Clarkesville; sons, Brandon Hicks, Heath Hicks and
Jared Hicks, all of Cleveland, and Timmy Neese, North
Carolina.; brother, Phillip Batson, Tampa, Fla.;
sister, Cecilia Rosenkrans, Toccoa; and five
grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon and
evening at the funeral home. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday,
April 6, 2004, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin &
Stewart Funeral Home. Greg Pruitt, the Rev. Anthony
Shore and the Rev. Glover Morgan will officiate. Burial
will be in Good News Baptist Church Cemetery.
