Jimmie Newton

Funeral services for Jimmie Newton, 56, of Clarkesville were
held Saturday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at New Hope Full Gospel
Church, in Hartwell. The Rev. Thomas L. Jackson officiated
with burial in the church cemetery. 

Mr. Newton died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Northeast
Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. 

Born in Fulton County, he was the son of Mozelle McGruder
Newton and the late Willie James Newton. He was a member of
New Hope Full Gospel Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Brown Newton of
the home; mother, Mozelle McGruder Newton of Atlanta;
sisters, Katie Mae Harmon of Atlanta, Jackie Newton of
Atlanta. 

Moss-Stovall-Neal Funeral Home Inc., Toccoa, was in charge
of arrangements.
