MARY KIMSEY DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS. Vivian Orr Kimsey returned to Atlanta Monday from Clarkesville, where he attended the funeral of his mother, Mrs. Mary M. Kimsey, who died Saturday night. The funeral was conducted at the Fairfield Baptist church by Rev. W. R. Power. The deceased was over 83 and leaves four sons, three daughters, one step-son and one stepdaughter: M. A. Jarrard, of Albany; D. W. Jarrard, of Alto; V. O. Kimsey, of Atlanta; J. H. Kimsey, of Demorest; Mrs. J. W. McClure, of Newnan; Mrs. George W. Smith, of Cornelia; Mrs. J. W. D. Smith, of Demorest, and A. L. Kimsey, of Mount Airy, and Mrs. L. A. Willbanks, of Buford. Mrs. Kimsey suffered an attack of pneumonia about three weeks ago, together with a complication from which she never rallied. She came with her father, Judge John LaPrade, from Virginia, when she was about 8 years old, and settled in Habersham county about 1835. She married William Jarrard, who died during the civil war, and in 1869 was married to James J. Kimsey. She had been a member of the Baptist church since early girlhood.
