The Rev. Ernest Burns officiated with burial in Yonah Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hamilton died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville. Born in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late W.G. and Gladys Scott King. She attended Cornelia Regional High School. Mrs. Hamilton was the owner of Lu Lu’s Place restaurant and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, André Hamilton. Survivors include her husband, Roy Hamilton of the home; son, James Douglas Hamilton of Powder Springs; sisters, Martha King, Everean King, Betty Browner, all of Cornelia, Ella Mae Chappell of Clarkesville; brothers, Eugene King, Thomas King, Johnny King, Anthony King, all of Cornelia, Matthew King of Toccoa; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Moss-Stovall-Neal Funeral Home, Toccoa, was in charge of arrangements.
