The Rev. Dwight Adams and the Rev. Charles Taylor officiated. Mrs. Ferguson died Monday, June 24, 2002, at a private residence following an extended illness. Born in Habersham County on April 20, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Alvie Free Pritchett. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Terrell Ferguson; brothers, Jack Pritchett, M.L. Pritchett, Messer Pritchett; and sisters, Gladys Pritchett York and Bonnie Pritchett Church. Mrs. Ferguson was retired from Atlanta Finance Company and was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church, Decatur. Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Pritchett York of Demorest; a number of nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Lois Heaton of Hollywood. Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, was in charge of arrangements.
