Mildred McAllister Lovell

Funeral services for Mildred McAllister Lovell, 74, of Mt. Airy will be held 
at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 14, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel. The Rev. 
Richard Horne and the Rev. Connie Berry will officiate, with burial in 
Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Lovell died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at her residence following an 
extended illness.

Born in Habersham County on Nov. 9, 1928, she worked as a medical clerk with 
the Habersham Medical Group in Clarkesville for 29 years and was a member of 
Victory Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul McAllister; husband, J. Earl 
Lovell; son, Ricky Lovell; and brothers, Eugene McAllister and Freddie 
McAllister.

Survivors include her mother, Pearl McConnell McAllister of Baldwin; 
daughter, Helen Lovell of Mt. Airy; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra L. and 
Doug Canup of Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Stan and Kim Lovell of 
Cornelia; sisters, Betty Whitlock of Alto, Marilyn Wildes of Hoschton, Peggy 
Smith of Alpharetta; brothers, Charles McAllister of Marietta, Raymond 
McAllister of Clarkesville, David McAllister of Fayetteville, James 
McAllister of Acworth; and six grandchildren.

Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, is in charge of 
arrangements.
