Murle E. Lovell

Funeral services for Murle E. Lovell, 87, of Clarkesville will be held at 11 
a.m. today, Feb. 11, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest. Dr. 
Jim Britt and the Rev. Raymond Payne will officiate, with burial in Yonah 
Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Lovell died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at Stephens County Hospital.
Born in Rabun County on May 30, 1915, she was the daughter of the late 
Virgil Austin and Sallie Adeline Curtis Keener. Mrs. Lovell was a member of 
the Rebecca Lodge and Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Chester Lovell of Clarkesville; daughter, 
Beverly Shirley of Clarkesville; sons, Dale Lovell of Clarkesville, Bruce 
Lovell of Hiawassee; sisters, Laverne Pitts of Mineral Bluff, Leta Murat of 
Orlando, Fla.; brother, Nolan Keener of Ortonville, Mich.; eight 
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, is in charge of 
arrangements.
