Nancy Louise Palmer 
 
Dec. 21, 1938-Oct. 27, 2006 
 
Nancy Louise Palmer, 67, of Rutledge, Tenn., formerly of Demorest, died Friday
following a sudden illness. 
 
Born in Habersham County to the late Otis and Jeanette Vinson, she was an
auctioneer and a member of Demorest Baptist Church. She also was preceded in
death by her first husband, Winfield Landers; daughter, Mary Davidson; and son,
Merida W. Landers III. 
 
Survivors include her husband, Stan Palmer; sons, Michael Landers, Rutledge,
Tenn., Mitchell Landers, Royce City, Texas, and Bronson Palmer, Demorest;
sisters, Mabel Bearden and Sue Bearden, both of Demorest, and Doris Southerland,
Powder Springs; brother, William Vinson, Stone Mountain; six grandchildren; and
three great-grandchildren. 
 
The family received friends Sunday at the funeral home. 
 
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at Whitfield
Funeral Home, North Chapel. The Rev. Billy Burrell will officiate. Burial will
be in the Landers Family Cemetery. 
 
Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to the Habersham County Special
Olympics, c/o Habersham County Board of Education, Attn: Mr. Mark Alley, P.O.
