PALMER BURIED. Funeral Occurred at Clarkesville Last Sunday. Clarkesville, Ga., March 4- The remains of William P. Palmer, who died in a sanitarium in Atlanta last Friday, were interred here Sunday. He was buried with Masonic honors, quite a large number of members from Cornelia, Clarkesville and Clayton lodges of that order being in attendance. A special train brought the members of the Clayton lodge, of which he was a member. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. C. Spence, of Clarkesville, Ga., and Rev. George Brown, of Gainesville, Ga. The deceased leaves a wife and one child. Mr. Palmer graduated from the North Georgia Agricultural college at Dahlonega, Ga., with high honors in 1897. In 1900 he was admitted to the bar under Judge John C. Kimsey. Later on he was a professor in the Cornelia Normal Institute at Cornelia, Ga., and leaving there was for one year or so a professor in Piedmont college, at Demorest, Ga. He was also at one time principal of the public school at Clarkesville. Resigning this position he again took up the practice of law, being a member of the Clarkesville bar for about two years. In 1904 he moved from Clarkesville to Clayton, Ga., and had just succeeded in building up a large practice in his chosen profession when stricken down with the disease which ended his career. He leaves a host of friends throughout the state.
