The Rev. Richard Horn officiated with burial in Victory Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Trotter died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at a private nursing home facility following an extended illness. Born in White County on Jan. 10, 1920, he was the son of the late Willie and Mollie Edwards Trotter. He was retired from Habersham Electric Membership Corporation. Mr. Trotter was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II, where he was a prisoner of war in Germany. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Kinsey Trotter of Clarkesville; daughter, Lynn Walters of Clarkesville; son, Robert Lee Trotter Jr. of Clarkesville; sisters, Zella Wilson, Ethel Westmoreland, both of Sautee, Essie Parrott of Gastonia, N.C., Ellene Shook of Clarkesville; and four grandchildren. McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, was in charge of arrangements.
