Mrs. Savage, 67, Taken By Death
Murphy- Mrs. W.A.Savage died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S.M. Benton 
at Cornelia, Ga. Friday morning at 8:00 o'clock following an illness of 
several years. 
Mr. and Mrs. Savage were residents of Murphy 30 years where he partnered was 
a partner with his brother, C.W. Savage in the ownership and operation of 
the Regal Hotel until they sold the hotel in 1941. 
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First 
Methodist church here of which she was a member. 
Surviving are the husband, W.A.Savage, one daughter, Mrs. Benton, one 
granddaughter of Murphy, NC, six grandsons, of Raleigh, NC, Atlanta, Ga, and 
Cornelia, Ga, five sisters and five brothers.
