Death of Mrs. J. R. Stanford

News has been received in the city by relatives of the deceased of the death of Mrs. J. R. Stanford, on Wednesday, in Beaumont, Texas. Mrs. Stanford was the mother of Mrs. John G. Hollingsworth, and the late Mrs. E. A. Hollingsworth, and her remains will be brought to Augusta for interment. They will probably reach here Saturday. Later information concerning the funeral will be found in tomorrow's CHRONICLE.

Mrs. Stanford lived formerly in Clarkesville, Ga., and was for several years a resident of Augusta, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hollingsworth. She was a pious Christian woman, dear to her family and cherished by her friends. After a long life of usefulness and womanly duty well performed she has gone to her reward.
