Fred Wilbanks 

COLBERT – Fred L. Wilbanks, 78 of Rout 1, P. O. Box 255, died Sunday, April 9. 

Mr. Wilbanks, a native of Oconee County, SC, was a son of the late Jake and 
Susie Williams Wilbanks.  He was a retired poultry farmer and a Baptist. 

Funeral service will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Brown’s Funeral Home, 
Danielsville. The Rev. Don Fuller will officiate, and burial will be in 
Stephens Memorial Gardens, Toccoa. 

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Jones Wilbanks; two sons, Ben Wilbanks, 
Danielsville, and William Wilbanks, Comer; a daughter, Agnes Oyster, Colbert; 
two brothers, Oscar Wilbanks, Laurel, Md, and Elmer Wilbanks, St. Paul, Minn.; 
two sisters, Vassie Lyles, Martin, and Minnie Jones, Okeechobee, Fla; 20 
grandchildren; and 12 great-grand-children. 

The family is at the residence of her daughter, Agnes Oyster, Route 2, 
Colbert. 

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm today at the funeral home.
