Research into his Revolutionary War service, land holdings and the census provided proof to the Veterans Administration of his service and his burial in the old cemetery of the Blue Creek Baptist Church near Cleveland. On July 4, 2002 more than 50 of his descendants gathered at the cemetery for the dedication of his grave marker. This photograph was taken on that occasion and the document is his February 20, 1840 pension certificate on file in the National Archives. Additional Comments: A transcription of the pension certificate has been provided separately. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
