"In Memory of Ruth wife of W. H. Banks.  Born Dec 16, 1854 Died Aug 13, 1897"

This tombstone inscription is rather unusual.  The first part is etched into 
the stone in someone's own script handwriting.  The dates are not in this 
handwriting, but appear to have been chiseled in stone in block letters and 
numerals.

This was Ruth Moore, daughter of Eliza A. Harkins Moore and William R. Moore, 
whose double tombstone is just a few feet away.  Ruth Moore was married to 
William H. Banks in Habersham County, GA, on 27 Aug 1876.
