So. Ga  Jan. 18, 1808 
died in Clarksville Geo Aug. 15, 

"Ye living ones,  as you pass by,
as you are now, so once was I,
as I am now, so you must be,
Prepare for death and follow me."

"A weather-beaten and time worn stone with the inscription
almost obliterated, marks the grave of Calvin J. Hanks, one
of Clarkesville’s first lawyers."
