To the Honorable the Court of Ordinay of said County: THE PETITION OF Olive H. Love respectfully showeth that William H. Love late of said County, departed this life on the 6th day of March 1885, leaving your petitioner, His widow, and ~ minor children surviving him, and she prays your Honorable Court in conformity with the statute in such case made and provided, to appoint five discreet and proper persons to act as appraisers in setting apart to your petitioner and her ~ minor children, as aforesaid, the sum necessary in their judgement for support and maintenance for the space of twelve months from the death of said William H. Love of your petitioner and her children, either in money or such property as may be selected by your petitioner at a fair valuation to be made by said appraisers. And, also, to set apart a sufficient amount of household furniture for the use of your petitioner and her children. And, further, to require said appraisers to return to you for record their proceedings. And your petitioner will ever pray, etc. Olive Love, Petitioner. HABERSHAM COURT OF ORDINARY ~ AT CHAMBERS. Upon the forgoing application of Olive Love the widow of William H. Love, deceased, for the appointment of appraisers to set apart to said widow and her ~ minor children, as a sum necessary for their support and maintenance for the space of twelve months, out of the estate of said deceased and, also, to set apart for the use of said widow and children a sufficient amount of household furniture. It is ordered the D. J. O'Callaghan, Jas A. Smith, M. A. Burnstead, William Hames and John Hames be and they are hereby appointed appraisers, and they, or a majority of them, are hereby empowered to set off and assign to the said Olive Love, widow of W. H. Love, deceased, late of said County, and her ~ minor children, out of the estate of said deceased, a sum necessary for the support and maintenance of said widow and children. And the said sum so set apart as aforesaid to be either in money or such property as the said widow may select , at a fair valuation, to be made by said appraisers. Further ordered, that said appraisers return to me for record all their proceedings in the premises. Given under my hand and official signature, this 11th day of May, 1885 W. D. Hill, Ordinary GEORGIA, HABERSHAM COUNTY. To the Honorable the Court of Ordinary of said County: We the undersigned, appointed by the Honorable the Ordinary of said County of Habersham to assess and set apart a sum necessary for the support and maintenance of the widow and minor children of William H. Love, deceased, for the space of twelve months, either in money or such property as the said widow may select, do report, that we have assessed and set apart as being necessary for the support and maintenance of said widow and children the sum of Four hundred Dollars, which the said widow has selected to take as follows: Seventy five acres of land, being a part of lot of land number Two (2) in the Tenth (10) District of Said County, upon where is Situated the dwelling and out buildings of said William H. Love in his life time we find that same Seventy five acres is all the real estate that said William H. Love owned at the time of hi death. We value said land at Four hundred dollars and set the whole apart for the support of Olive Love, widow of said W. H. Love deceased same set apart and allowed the said Olive Love as a years support And we also set apart the following household furniture for the use of said widow and children; 1 feather bed, Bedstead & bedclothing, one clock, 1 cook stove, table, crockery, 1 doz chairs, 1 Cupboard, 2 bedsteads, cow & calf out of which property said Olive Love is to pay Dr. Burns & Hondon for their services in said dec. last illness also funeral expenses.
