	Daniel Tann East, son of Stephen East,  was born in about 1807 in South 
Carolina. He married Elizabeth Anne Eubanks about 1825 in Jackson County 
Georgia. She was the daughter of Elijah and Susanna Eubanks. In 1830 Daniel 
East was living in Hall County with his wife and two children. He was on a tax 
list in Hall County in 1838 and on the Census in Benton County Alabama in 1840 
so the family must have moved about 1839. At the same time Elijah Eubanks and 
Stephen East also moved. Daniel and Elizabeth’s children were as follows: (Son) 
born abt 1828 in Hall Co., (Daughter) born abt 1830 in Hall Co., Mary Jane born 
1832 Hall Co., Elizabeth Anne born 1836 in Hall Co., Dicie born 1838 in Hall 
Co., Charity born 1840 in Benton Co.. Alabama, Lucretia born 1842 in Benton 
Co., (Infant) born 1844 in Benton Co., (Infant) born 1846 in Benton Co., Daniel 
Thomas born 1848 in Benton Co., Elijah S. born 1850 in Benton Co., Francis 
Marion born Nov. 22, 1852 in Benton Co.
	Francis Marion east married Margaret Jane Cheatwood in Cleburne Co. 
Alabama on August 15th 1871. They had the following children: James Thomas 
East, William Daniel East, Charles Albert East, Mary Louise East, Sarah Olivia 
East, John Zeal East.
	Daniel East died in Cleburne County, Alabama in about 1881 and 
Elizabeth Eubanks East died about 1886 also in Cleburne County, Alabama. They 
are both buried in the Oak Level Methodist Chuch Cemetery.
