To Hon. A. Rudolph
Ordinary of said County

We, John M. Grant and Nancy E. I. Grant in the exercise of our legal rights 
both of us being minors and over the age of fourteen years, hereby select, W. 
H. Smith to be our guardian and ask your honor to appoint him Guardian of our 
persons and property.

This Feb. 2nd 1895

May Term 1892

Upon the foregoing application of John M. Grant and Nancy E. I. Grant, minors 
of said County and heirs of John Grant late of said County deceased.  It is 
hereby ordered the W. H. Smith the person selected by said minors be and he is 
hereby appointed Guardian of the persons and property of said minors and that 
letter of guardianship issue to said W. H. Smith upon his taking and 
subscribing the Oath and giving bond and security as required by law, the 
amount of which bond is hereby fixed at Eight Hundred Dollars
