Odell administrator of the Estate of Reuben Mayfield, dec’d of one part and Alexander M. Stringer of said place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John E. Odell administrator as aforesaid has in pursuance of an order of the ordinary of said county bargained sold and conveyed and does hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Alexander M. Stringer all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in said county known and distinguished as part of Lot Nos 39 thirty-nine in the 8th Eighth District of said county containing forty five acres more or less the boundaries of which willfully appear by reference to a deed made by Thomas Wilson the said A. M. Stringer on the 1st day of March Eighteen hundred and fifty one and part of lot No. 34 thirty four on the waters of Flat Creek containing ninety seven acres more or less being the same tract of land except three acres deeded and conveyed by A.M. Stringer for a school house and church and deeded by A.J. Odell to said A.M. Stringer on the 24th day of January 1849 which said lands were sold by the said John E. Odell administrator of Reuben Mayfield deceased on the first Tuesday in January last before the court door of said county excepting the right of dower therein. When the said A.M. Stringer being the highest and best bidder became the purchaser as aforesaid at and for the price of two hundred and five & 25/100 dollars in consideration of which the said John E. Odell has bargained sold and confirmed unto the said A.M. Stringer all the lands and tenements aforesaid with the exceptions and reservations herein specified to have and to hold forever---In witness whereof the said John E. Odell administrator as aforesaid has hereunto set his hand and seal---Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of--- John Stringer John E. Odell (L.S.) Ralph S.
