Know all men by these presents that we George W. McClesky and Martha H. McClesky 
of the county and state afore said, do hereby refuse to accept of certain  lands conveyed in 
deeds of gift-to-the said Martha H. McClesky and her children (conditionally) by John E. 
Odell of said county, the father of said Martha H. said deed bearing date, the 20th day of 
September 1861 and recorded in the clerks office of the Superior Court of said County by 
John E. Redwine Clk. In Book (I) page 462 on the 7th day of July 1862, and for the 
following lands.  The southeast half of Lot—of land no (66) sixty six in the 8th District of 
said county containing one hundred and twenty five acres said land adjoining John 
Jenkins on the East.  John U. Reed on the South and Starling Roberts on the north side.  
That the said George W. McCleskey having returned from Rocky Mountains on the 14th 
day of April 1865 does in conjunction with his wife the said Martha W. refuse by 
returning of the right of conditions in the aforesaid deed refuse to accept said deed of gift.

Hereby relinquishing unto the said John E. Odell all rights and claims and title in every 
description whatever (present) in said lands in witness whereof the said George W. and 
Martha H. McCleskey have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seal this Sept 10, 
1865.
