Ella Warren "Granny" Roper, at the age of 87, recorded what she remembered about a number of families in Hall County Georgia. Following is a transcription by William L. Stephenson, Jr. (Woodart@one.net) [The original document is written as one long narrative. Indentation is by the translator as an attempt at a logical order - otherwise the reader is soon lost. Without dates, the data can become quite confusing, especially when given names are used in succeeding generations. As is always prudent, the data should be verified with public records.] Bryant Side First Generation: William Bryant married Fannie Green (don't know her maiden name) and to them were born 5 sons: Sanford, Hardy, John, William, and Thomas Bryant. Don't know if they had any daughters or not. Second generation: A. Sanford Bryant married Melinda Jane "Sis" Porter and to them was born one daughter, Mary Bryant (My Mother - Mrs. Nellie Sewell Bryant's) B. Hardy Bryant married Minnie Tatum and to them were born 3 sons: Hardy B., James W. "Jimmy", and William Bryant; and 6 daughters: Mary, Fannie, Susie, Minnie, Winnie, and Nancy Bryant. William Bryant married Cintha Hinton and to them were born 3 sons: Pinkney, Wesley, and Joseph: and 1 daughter: Kansas Bryant. Pinkney Bryant married Launia Bettis, daughter of Davis and Mary Warren Bettis. Launia died shortly thereafter. Pinkney Bryant then married Fronie Roper, daughter of R. Perry and Mary Purcell Roper (daughter of John and Elizabeth Rogers Purcell). Pinkney and Fronie had 2 sons: Bailey and Earl. Both sons died small. Also 2 daughters: Ruby and Ila Bryant. Ruby Bryant married Lee Glass and to them was born 1 son Ethell and one daughter, Norma Glass. Ila Bryant married Marion Hughs and they had one daughter (don't know her name). Thomas Bryant married Lucy Garette and to them were born 3 sons: John, William, and Ranse Bryant. William married Sally Bettis, daughter of Davis Bettis and Mary Warren Bettis. They moved to Cherokee County [probably Georgia] and I lost account of them. I don't know who Ranse married. John Bryant never married and died in the time of the Civil War. Hardy B. Bryant married Emma Smith, daughter of Solomon Smith and Mattie Martin Smith. To Hardy and Emma were born 4 sons: Hardy S., Thomas A., Rheuben, and John Bryant. John died while still small. Also they had 8 daughters: Mattie, Annie, Emma, Lula, Oma, Mary, Alma, and Laura Bryant. Laura died while still small. James W. "Jimmy" Bryant married Rebecka Shirley and they had 2 sons: Rufus and Hubert Bryant and 3 daughters: Audrey, Pauline, and Orina Bryant. Hardy B. Bryant's Brothers: William Bryant married Annie Godfrey and to them were born 5 sons: George, Earnest, Clifford, Felton, and Cline and 4 daughters: Ethel, Corine, Claudine, and Gussie Bryant. His sisters were Mary Bryant who married Harrison Porter, son of Phillip Porter (don't know his mother's name). To Mary and Harrison was born one daughter: Jamie Porter who was killed in the Tornado of 1936 at Gainesville, Georgia. Fannie Bryant married Berry Bruce and they had 4 sons: Earley, James "Jim", Albert, and David Bruce; and 3 daughters, Evie, Amy, and Ethel. Minnie Bryant married Barn Fields and they had 2 sons: James "Jim" and Ruffin Fields had 2 daughters: Pearle and Viola Fields. Nancy Bryant married Robert "Bob" Jones (son of Starkbug and Eliza Hope Jones) and to them were born 2 sons: Odous and George Jones and 1 daughter: Nellie Jones. Susie and Winnie Bryant never married. Winnie was killed in the Tornado of 1936 at Gainesville, Georgia. Kansas Bryant married William Rundles and to them were born 4 sons: Lonnie, Earnest, Teab, and Robert "Bob", Rundles, and 2 daughters: Paralee and Perles Rundles. Lonnie Rundles married Annie Martin; Earnest Rundles married Carrie Martin; Teab Rundles never married but Perleen married Clifford E. Roper and to them were born 4 sons: Rev. Dennis Roper married Ella Barron, daughter of Levi and Ola Whitlow Barron, and to them was born one son, Myron Roper. Donald Roper married Lougenne Allen and to them were born 2 daughters, Sandra and Patricia. Kenneth Roper married Virginia Sargent and they have 2 sons: Richard "Rickie" who died while small and Terry Roper. Cecil Roper is not married. Willeen Roper married "Junior" Charley Cantrell, son of Rev. Charley and Irine White Cantrell, and to them was born one son Randy Shular. Fourth Generation Hardy S. Brant married Ethel Talton, (daughter of Ausay and Lou Hulsey Talton – who was the daughter of John and Lillie Hanson Hulsey). They had one daughter: Emma Lou. Thomas A. Bryant married Nellie Chastain, (daughter of Lloyd and Estellea Warren Chastain, the daughter of W. V. Warren). They have 2 sons: Homer and Arthur Bryant and twin daughters, Jack and Joe Bryant. Rheubon Bryant never married and died when a young man. John Bryant never married and died while small. Hardy B. Bryant's daughter Mattie Bryant married Willie Whitlow, son of John and Ella Camel Whitlow and to them were born 3 sons: Cliff, Walter, and Whitlow and 2 daughters: Lois and Annie May Whitlow. Cliff Whitlow married Minnie Grieer and they have four daughters and one son: Walter Whitlow married Bessie Murphy: William married Edna Brookshire: Lois Whitlow married Julius Brookshire, Annie May Whitlow married Johnithan McDonald. Hardy B's other daughters Annie, Emma, Oma, Lula, and Laura Bryant never married. Laura died while still small. His other daughter Mary Bryant, married Earley Bruce, her cousin. Earley was married twice and he was the son of Berry Bruce and Fannie Bryant. Mary and Earley had 2 sons, Gene and Hardy Bruce and 3 daughters: Mandy, Louise and the other one died while small. Alma Bryant married Mack Fields, son of Bud and Julia White Fields (daughter of William "Billy" and Martha Miller White). Alma and Mack Fields had one son, James "Jimmy" and one daughter, Abigail Fields. James "Jimmy" Bryant's children - Rufus Bryant died at the age of 5 or 6. I don't know who Hubert married for they moved to Alabama. The daughters - Audrey married a Banister. Pauline married Wallace Mayfield, son of Robert and Beulah Smith Mayfield (daughter of Soloman and Mattie Martin Smith). Pauline and Wallace had one daughter, Katy Lee Mayfield. Wallace was drowned in the Chattahoochee river. Pauline married George Conner. William Bryant's children: George Bryant never married, Ernest Bryant married Ruby Smith, daughter of Perino and Hattie Land Smith (son of Baciel and Thursey Pinson Smith), Clifford Bryant married Mary Lou Mayfield, daughter of William "Will" Mayfield. I don't know if Felton or Dline ever married or not. Ethel Bryant married a Smith (don't know his other name). Corine Bryant married a Jackson (I don't know his other name). Claudine Bryant married John Henry Mayfield and Gussie Bryant married Carl Mayfield. Fannie Bryant Bruce's children - Early Bruce married Minnie Garrison the first time and they had 2 sons, Norman and Howard Bruce and one daughter Beatrice. I don't know if any of them married. James "Jim" Bruce married Lillie Hulsey Bruce. Albert Bruce married Amo Shockley Bruce. I don't know who David Bruce married. Evvie, nor Ethel nor Amy either married. Minnie Bryant Fields children: William "Jim" Fields married Molly Waford Fields and Ruffin Fields never married. Pearle Fields married Emery Ladd and they had 2 sons: Walter and Ruffin Ladd and 2 daughters, Gwendelyn and Geraldine Ladd. Ruffin Ladd married Lois Cape. I don't know who the rest of the Ladds married. Viola Fields married Clyde C. Roper, son of John and Ella Warren Roper and to them were born 5 sons: J. B., James, Robert, Max, and Douglas; 3 daughters: Eula, Grace and Donna Jean. J. B. Roper married Jeanne Laughlin Roper. James never [married] and was killed in World War II. Robert married Donna Wymer Roper. Max and Douglas are not married yet. Grace Roper married Emmor Durkin and they have one son, Larry and one daughter Deanna Durkin. Eula and Donna Jean are not married yet. Robert "Bob" and Nancy Bryant Jones children: Odous Jones married Loubell Harper and they had one son Edward Jones. Odous Jones was killed in a truck wreck. George Jones married Pauline Collins. James "Jim" Porter had 2 brothers - Phillip and John Porter. I don't know who Phillip Porter married, but John Porter married Nancy Johnson Porter. James "Jim" Porter married Judy Martin. Grand Pap Martin (Judy Martin Porter's daddy) stayed at Judy Martin Porter's a lot. Judy and James "Jim" Porter had 6 sons - Boss (Gideon), Lem (James), Harrison "Bud", Joseph, David, and John Porter and 7 daughters, the oldest one was born dead: Jane "Sis", Mamcu Elender, Mary, Unie, Martha, and Fannie Porter. I don't know who Gideon (Boss) Porter nor James (Lem) Porter Married: they went to Missouri. -- Harrison "Bud" Porter married Hariette Chastain. Joseph Porter married Nancy Porter, his cousin (daughter of Phillip Porter) and to them were born 3 sons - James "Jimmy", John, and Louis Porter: and one daughter, Linda Porter. James "Jimmy" Porter and John Porter never married. I don't know who Louis Porter married, but Linda Porter married William "Billy" Smith. I don't know who her children married. David Porter married Martha Warren Porter, daughter of Thornton Warren and Lucinda Hilyard Allmon Warren. They moved to Missouri. John Porter married Missouri "Sis" Fields Porter and they had 2 daughters - Rosy and Belle Porter. Rosy married James "Jim" Conner, son of Andrew and Eliza Conner. To Rosy and James "Jim" Conner were born 4 sons - Elmer, Clifford, J. C., and Duard Conner; and 6 daughters - May, Irene, Verdelle, Evabell, Maggie, and Marie. Elmer Conner married May Alison Conner, daughter of Thomas and Asalee Smith Alison, and they had children but I don't know their names. I don't know who J. B. nor Duard Conner married. May Conner married Judson Dovers and they had one son - Huston Dovers. I don't know who Huston married. Irene Conner married Carland Dunigan and then had 1 son Charles Dunigan and 1 daughter but I don't know her name. Verdelle Conner married Mark Castleberry, son of Claude and Evvie Thomson Castleberry. They had children but I don't know their names. Evabell married a Robinson. I don't know who Maggie nor Marie married. Cliff Conner married Eura Alison and they had one daughter - Mildred Conner. Belle Porter married Jeff Sanders, son of Jim and Lucy Clark Sanders. They had 2 sons - Alfred and Clyde Sanders. Both sons died while still young men. Jane "Sis" Porter married Sanford Bryant the first time and married Elias Chastain the second time. Elias Chastain has 1 sister - Harriette Chastain [Note - the Chastain Family Association records the sister of Starling Bryant, James Y., William Harrison, and Zachariah as Elizabeth Ann born January 25, 1849] [Note - Hall county marriage records - Elias Elrod Chastain married Malinda J. Bryant September 10, 1868.] and 4 brothers - Starling, James "Jim", Harrison, and Zach Chastain. Jane "Sis" and Elias Chastain had 4 sons - John, Perino, Lloyd, and Elmer Chastain. John Chastain married Mamie Egins and they had 2 sons that were twins but I don't know their names. Perino Chastain married Ella Pierce Chastain, daughter of Carter and Beckyann Tatum Pierce. Perino and Ella had one son - Kimsey Chastain and 1 daughter Maude Chastain. Ella and Perino parted and she went to Alabama. Lloyd Chastain married Estella Warren Chastain, daughter of W. V. "Billy" Warren and Nancy Pinson Warren. Lloyd and Estella had 2 sons - Willis and Billy Chastain. I don't know who Willie married and Billy died at the age of 4 or 5 years: and 6 daughters - Judy, Izzie, Ruby, Estell, Mellie, and Mary. Judy Chastain married Curtis Lamb and they had children but I don't know who they are. Izzie died about two years after marriage but I don't know who she married. Ruby Chastain married Carl Woodall and they had several children. Estell Chastain married McCenly Shope and they too had several children but I don't know their names. Mellie Chastain married Thomas A. Bryant and their children are listed in the Bryant generations [as follows - They have 2 sons: Homer and Arther Bryant and twin daughters, Jack and Joe Bryant.] Mary Chastain married Lester Kieth but I don't know their children's names. Elmer Chastain married Martha Warren Chastain, daughter of W. V. "Billy" and Nancy Pinson Warren, and they had 5 sons - Amon, James Hubert, Sylvia, Sidney, and Jason; and 2 daughters - Nancy and Bernice Chastain. Amon Chastain married Era McCrary and they had one son - Elmer Chastain and one daughter but I don't know her name. Sylvia died while small. I don't know who James Hubert, Sidney nor Jason married. Nancy Chastain married Lewis Bryant; they parted and Nancy Chastain Bryant married Rufus Jones (also his second marriage). They had one daughter - Bernice Chastain who married Leonard Kieth. (They had children and later parted) and one daughter Ethel "Effie" Chastain married Amos "Dick" Warren son of W. V. "Billy" Warren. They had 5 sons - Merritt, Clint, Everett, Furman, and A. R. Warren; and 3 daughters - Ruth, Mamie, and Eva Warren. These Chastain children were Mary Bryants half brothers and sisters. Meritt Warren married Onie Hubard Warren and to them was born 1 son - Junior Warren and 1 daughter - Mildred Warren. I don't know who Clint Warren married but he was killed in a car wreck. Everett Warren married Grace Higgins and they had one daughter - Ethel May Warren. Ferman Warren married Ruth Duncan and they had 1 son, J. C. Warren and 2 daughters - Violet and Linda Warren. A. R. Warren married Betty Pool and to them were born 3 sons - William "Billy", Ronald, and Tommy Warren. Ruth Warren married Robert Peck and they had 2 daughters - Thelma and Evelyn Peck. Mamie Warren died at 7 or 8 years of age. Eva Warren married J. B. Thomas and they did not have any children. Nancy Elender Porter married Marion (M. P.) Warren, son of Thornton and Calline Baker Warren and to them was born one son - David Edward Warren who married Karie Mackey. Karie and David Edward had 2 sons - Alto and Hurshel Warren; and 2 daughters Georgia and Media Warren. I don't know who Alto Warren married but they had one daughter --- Martha Jean Warren. Georgia Warren married Frank Wallace (died spring of 1961, Phoenix, Ariz) and they had 3 daughters - Ruth, Verna, and Joann Wallace. I don't know who any of them married. Media Warren married Clark Head and they had 1 son - Edward Head and 1 daughter - Nina Head. Martha Jean Warren married Oville Sparks and they had 1 son - Danny and 1 daughter Donna Warren. Hurshel Warren married Ida May Harper and to them was born 2 daughters - Frances and Rachel Warren. Frances Warren married and was killed in a car wreck. I don't know who Rachael Warren married. Ella Warren (now known as Granny Roper) married John W. Roper - son of R. Perry and Mary E. Purcell (daughter of John and Elizabeth Rogers Purcell). Ella and John W. Roper had 5 sons - Parks R., Clyde C., Edward W., Carl W., and Clifford E. Roper and 2 daughters - Alvie and Lillis Roper. Parks R. Roper married Anis White - daughter of William "Billy" White and Martha Miller White. Parks R. and Annis have 5 sons - Norman, Lester, Rev. Allen, and twin sons Ray and Clay Roper; and 5 daughters Lavora, Blanche, Vicie, Charlsie, and Elliese Roper. Norman Roper married Ruth Marlow and to them was born 1 son Terry Roper and 2 daughters: Joyce and Annis Roper. Lester Roper married Mabelle Crowe, daughter of Major and Anna Evans Crowe. Lester and Mabelle have one son: Meridith Roper. Rev. Allen Roper married Evelyn Pruitte, daughter of Orie and Inez English Pruitte and to them were born 4 sons: Marlyn, Gary, James, and Jerry Roper; and 2 daughters: Janice and Judy Roper. Ray Roper married Louell Woodring and they have one son, Bradley Roper. Clay Roper married Jimmy Lou Davidson and they have one son, Stevie Roper. Lavora Roper married Clay DeLong, son of George and Mandy Bettis DeLong (George DeLong was the son of Rev. Richard DeLong). Lavora and Clay DeLong had 5 sons: R. C., Neil, Royce, Glenn, and Harley and 3 daughters: Lucille, Linda, and Wanda DeLong. Lucille died when 2 or 3 months old. R. C. DeLong married Eileen Brady, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Brady. Blanche Roper married Ralph Patterson and they have one daughter, Elaine Paterson Vicie Roper married Clint Hulsey. They have no children. Charlsie Roper married Rev. Bunyon Darracott and to them were born 3 sons: Ronald "Ronnie", Phillip, and David and one daughter Cathy Darracott. Elliese Roper married Carter Butterworth, son of Fletcher and Ferrel Carter Butterworth. Elliese and Carter have two daughters, Vicki and Carol Butterworth. Clyde C. Roper married Viola Fields, daughter of barn Fields and Minnie Bryant Fields. (Their children are listed in the section on the Bryant generation. Edward W. Roper married Tanie White, daughter of Rev. J. W. White, son of William "Billy" White and Martha Miller White. Tanie's mother was Mellie Conner (daughter of Robert "Bob" Conner and Sarah Phagans Conner). Ed and Tanie White Roper had 4 sons: Noel, Walter, Boyd, and Leon Roper and 5 daughters: Dorothy, Reba, Mellie, Bonnie, and Vindetta Roper. Noel Roper married Dorothy Jones Roper and they have 1 son, Michael and 1 daughter, Deborah Roper. Walter Roper Married Mertice Jones. He later married Louise McDonald and to them was born 1 son, Wayne and 1 daughter, Elaine Roper. Boyd Roper married Bobby Whitmire Roper and to them were born 1 son, Edward Roper who died at about 2 days old and 1 daughter. Leon Roper married Mary Williams and they had 2 daughters, Linda and Susan Roper. Lynda died at the age of 5 years. Dorothy Roper married Norman Castleberry and they have one son Richard Castleberry. Reba Roper married Ekron Brookshire and they have 1 daughter Sarah Nell Brookshire. Reba died and Ekron Brookshire married Grace Jones and they had 1 daughter, Sandra Brookshire. Mellie roper has never married. Bonnie Roper married Clarence Clark and to them was born 1 son, Kevin and 1 daughter, Sheryl Clark. Vindetta Roper married Rev. Thurman Wade and to them were born 1 son, David Wade and 1 daughter Glenda Wade. Rev. Carl Roper married Lela Jones and they have 7 sons: C. J., Cecil, Farris, Herman, Heyward, Larry, and Roland Roper and 6 daughters: Vera, Madge, Ella, Eunicetine, Marie, and Gloria Roper. C. J. Roper married Helen Bagwell and they have 1 son, Danny and 1 daughter, Patricia "Pattie" Roper. Cecil Roper died at the age of 6 months. Farris Roper is not married. Herman Roper married Barbara Adams and they have 1 son, Jeffery and 1 daughter, Lesia. Vera Roper married Lonnie Carlton the first time. She later married Bertz Bently, and they have one son, Henry Bently. Madge Roper married A. D. Bagwell, Jr. and they have one son, Alvin Bagwell and 1 daughter Sandra Bagwell. Ella Roper married Elwin Buice and they have 1 daughter, Deborah Buice. Eunicetine Roper married Harrison Frazier and they have 1 son, Michael Frezier and 1 daughter, Meshell Frazier. Clifford E. Roper married Perleen Rundles, daughter of William "Will" Rundles and Kansas Bryant Rundles. (Their children are listed in the Bryant Generation). Alvie Roper married Herman White, son of William "Billy" White and Martha Miller White. Alvie and Herman have 1 son Frankie White who married Vera Allison (daughter of Thomas Allison and Asalee Smith Allison) and to them were born 2 sons Marvin and Gary White and 1 daughter Ann White. Alvie and Herman's daughters were Era, Aslee, and Ora White. Era White is not married. Aslee White married Guy Mangum and they have 2 sons, Bennie and Johnny Mangum. Ora White married Alvin Howell, son of William "Will" Howell and Laura Smith Howell and to them were born 1 son David Howell and 3 daughters: Martha, Charlotte, and Jane Howell. Martha Howell married Houston McCarter and they have 2 daughters, Vivian and Cathy McCarter. Lillie Roper married George Martin, son of Robert "Bob" Martin and Lizzie Brice Martin. They have 1 son, G. C. Martin and 1 daughter, Lourine Martin who died at the age of 2 or 3 years. G. C. Martin married Hattie Grace Oshields and they have 2 sons, Johnny and Calvin and 3 daughters: Barbara, Evelyn, and Joan. Johnny Martin married Glenda Sloan. Barbara Martin married Ray McDonald and they have 1 son, Michael McDonald. Mary Porter married Boss Yancy, son of James "Jim" and Sarah Yancy, and they have 2 sons, Edward and George Yancy (they moved to Missouri while young men) and 4 daughters: Minnie, Eula, Sally, and Nora. Minnie Yancy married Millage Lathem, son of Washington and Mary Taylor Lathem and to them was born 1 daughter, Pearle Lathem. They moved away and I don't know the rest. Eula Yancy married George Smith and they moved west. Sally Yancy married Oscar Marison. I don't know their children. Nora Yancy married a Smith. Unie Porter married George Allmon and to them were born 4 sons: Madison, Rufus, and twin sons but I don't know their names, for they moved to Missouri. Madison Allmon married Nora Rufus Allmon married Vernie Srite, twins Dave and Penn Dave married "Sis" Edwards and they had 3 sons - Kenneth, Lloyd, and Clifton. Penn married Della Hornbeck - no children Unie Porter and George Allmon had 1 daughter - Mary Allmon who married Lloyd Rollins and had the Mortuary at Platte City, Mo. In Platte Co. many years. No Children. Martha Porter married George Bryant and they had 2 daughters, Ora and Luta Bryant They later moved to the Tyler, Texas area. Fannie Porter married John Allmon (Alman) and they had 7 or 8 sons: William "Will", Ale, Emmett, and Charlie (I don't know the names of the rest). Tina Warren married General (U.G.) Conner, son of Robert "Bob" Conner and Sarah Phagans Conner and they had 5 sons: Fred died at the age of 2 or 3 years. Robert Conner married Edyth Slaton the first time and they had 2 sons, Junior and Harold Conner. Then Robert Conner married Mildred Myers and they had 3 sons but I don't know their names. Junior Conner married and had one son but I don't know who he married. Ulous Conner married May Rivers and they had 2 daughters, Beattrice and Mary Pearle Conner. Beatrice married a Taylor and they had one child. Tina Warren and General (U. G.) Conner had 3 daughters: Pearle, Etta, and Alline. Mary Pearle Conner married J. B. Martin, son of Bailey and Delica Whelchel Martin and they had 1 son Michael Martin. Felton Conner married Lena Johnson the first time. They moved to Ohio. I don't know who Felton married the last time. Cliffton Conner married Jenny May Duvall and they had 2 sons, Rhett and Douglas and 1 daughter, Lynn Conner. Pearle Conner married Arthur Nix and they have 1 daughter, Dorothy Nell Nix who married a Barker. Etta Conner married Cletus Bruce and they have 3 sons, J. C., Walter, and Bryan Bruce; and 1 daughter Maxine Bruce. J. C. Bruce was killed in World War II. Walter Bruce married but I don't know her name. They have 2 children I don't know who Bryan Bruce married. Maxine Bruce married Don T. Barnes and they have 1 son. Alline Conner married ray Owen and they have 1 son, Donald Owen; and 2 daughters, the oldest daughter was born dead or died shortly thereafter and the other daughter was Carolyn Owen. Donald Owen married and has 1 daughter but I don't know who he married. The Dorsey Side: Mary Dorsey had 2 brothers Hilliard and John Dorsey and 1 sister, Sarah Dorsey. Sarah Dorsey married a Stairett and they had 1 son, Issac Stairett and 2 daughters, Arvilla and Evvie Stairett. Mr. Stairett died and Sarah Dorsey Stairett married Obe Farmer and they had 1 son, Fletcher farmer and 2 daughters, Martha and Mary Farmer. Fletcher Farmer married Maude Merks but I don't know who the daughters married. Mary Dorsey married Anderson Smith and they had 1 son, Alexander Smith and 1 daughter Andus Smith. Alexander Smith married Evvaline Holdbrooks the first time and they had 1 son, Albert Smith; and 2 daughters, Mattie and Julia Smith. Evvaline Smith died when Julia was only a few days old and a Mrs. Maddox took Julia and raised her as her won child. Alexander Smith married Jane Couch the second time and they had 1 son, Oscar Smith who died small, and 2 daughters, Maude and Dotta. Jane Couch Smith died and Alexander Smith married Georgia Bramlet the third time. They had 1 daughter, Ethel Smith and later moved to Missouri. Andus Smith married James "Jim" Lathen and they had 4 daughters - Celia, Carrine, and twin girls Cora and Nora. Both died while small. Celia then married George Reeves and they had children but I don't know their names. Carrine Lathem married Edgar Green. The Sewell Side The three Sewell brothers were Oliver, Joshua, and Henry Sewell and 3 girls were Writha, Nancy, and Comfort Sewell. Writha Sewell married Daruis Wims. Nancy Sewell married a Sewell (her cousin) and Comfort Sewell never married. Henry Sewell married Mary Dorsey Smith Sewell and they had 3 sons Bonanza S., Loneta R., and P. Alto Sewell and 4 daughters, Montie, Cholula and Loretor were twins, Carrize, and Onie Sewell. [Note there are five names.] Bonanza S. Sewell married Mary Bryant, daughter of Sanford and Jane "Sis" Porter Bryant, and they had three sons, Kinas, Ruffus, and Homer Sewell and 3 daughters, Eula, Nellie, Effie Sewell. Kinas Sewell died while young. I don't know who Ruffus or Homer Sewell married. Nellie Sewell married T. R. Capps. I don't know who Eula or Effie married. Loreto R. Sewell married America Oliver, daughter of Linsey and Mary Lathem Oliver, and to them were born 2 sons, Andrew and Gordon Sewell. They later moved to Missouri. P. Alto Sewell never married and died April 4, 1957. He would have been 93 years old on April 15, 1957. He died at his Great Niece's Barney and Belle Brackett. Montie Sewell married Marion "M.P." Warren (his second marriage) and they had 5 sons - Vado P., J. Mastin, Rev. W. Henry, M. Emmett, and Rev. Charlie E. Warren; and 4 daughters - twin girls Dora and Florence, Nannie, and Judy Warren. Vado P. Warren married Onie Conner, daughter of Cobb and Nancy Pierce Conner, and they had 3 sons, Glenn, Mark, and Ray Warren. Glenn Warren married Jimmy Lou Britte and they had 2 sons, but I don't know their names. Mark Warren married Mary Thomson and they had 1 daughter. I don't know who Ray Warren married. Nellie [probably Nannie] Warren married John Andrews and they had 1 daughter. Don't know who Madge Warren married either. J. Martin Warren died at the age of 19 years. Rev. W. Henry Warren married Beunie Conner, daughter of Cobb and Nancy Pierce Conner, and they have 4 sons - Howell, Kermett, William Henry, and Mastin Warren; and 5 daughters - Grace, Gladdis, Datta May, Mointie, and Hawtell Warren. Howell Warren married Mildred Stubble Field and they had 2 sons but both died while very small; and then Howell warren married Lottie Eades and they had 1 daughter. Don't know who Kermett Warren or Mastin Warren married. William Henry Warren died at the age of 10 or 12 years. Grace Warren died at the age of 3 months. Gladdis Warren married Carter Powell and they had 3 daughters - Katherine, Marion, and I don't know the other girls name nor who they married. Katta May married John Burgess and they had 3 daughters, but I don't know their names. Don't know who Montie nor Hawtell Warren married. M. Emmett warren married Iris Loggins, daughter of Rev. Major and Wrtie Whitlock Loggins, and they had 3 sons - Cecil, Rogers, and Marion Warren; and 2 daughters - Christine and Patricia Warren. Rogers Warren married Ione Wallace and they had 2 children. Rogers was killed in a car wreck at a race track. Don't know who Cecil Warren nor the Warren daughters married. Rev. Charlie S. Warren married Annie Slaton and they have 2 sons - Rev. Edwin and Harry Warren. Florence and Dora Warren were twins. Florence Warren married Claud Martin, son of Lloyd and Avie Porter Martin, and they had 1 daughter - Etheline Martin. Dora Warren married Lovic Conner, son of Cobb and Nancy Pierce Conner, and they had 2 sons - Paul and Ralph Conner; and 5 daughters - Fay, Cleo, Jewel, Nelline, and one daughter died while still small. Paul Conner married Ammalee Britte Conner and they had 1 son- Joe Conner and 2 daughters but I don't know their names. Ralph Conner married but don't know who. Fay Conner married Gober Garner and they had 4 sons - John, Raymond, Edwin, and Lovic Garner, and 2 daughters - Bonnell and Lecie. Cleo Conner never married - and I don't know who the others married. Jewel Conner married Clyde Waldrip and they had 1 son and 1 daughter but don't know their names. Nelline Conner married Brice Bennett and they had 2 daughters. Nannie Warren married Allen Weatherford and they had 5 sons - Orion, Dean, Leon, Kary, and Doyle Weatherford. Orion Weatherford died while small and Leon Weatherford died when a young man. Nannie and Allen [Weatherford] also had 6 daughters - Ione, Corine, Evabelle, Oranell, Bernice, and Doris Weatherford. They moved away and I don't know who any of them married. Judy Warren married Guy Harper, son of Wayne Harper, and they had 3 son - Hoyt, Rev. Charlie, and Jack Harper; and 3 daughters, Bonnie Lou, Morine, and Bobby Jean Harper. I don't know who any of them married. Cholula Sewell married James "Jim" Lathem and they had 2 sons - Oscar and Milton Lathem; and 2 daughters Myrta and Mary Lathem. Oscar Lathem died small. Milton Lathem went west. Don't know who Myrta and Mary Lathem married. Carrize Sewell married Carol Reeves and they had 2 sons - Roscoe and I don't know the other son's name; and five daughters - Delilah, Lillie, Lessie, Nellie, and Agnes, Deliah Reeves married John Hallman and they never had any children. Don't know who Nellie Reeves married, but Belle Pucket was Nellie's daughter. Carrize Sewell reeves' granddaughter Belle married Barney Brackett and that is where P. Alto Sewell died at Barney and Belle Brackett's. Onie Sewell never married and died in House, New Mexico.
