W. L. Baker, Gainesville, Ga. Gainesville, Ga., April 25- W. L. Baker died at his home of West Washington street this morning of paralysis. He was seriously ill for five or six weeks, but his health had been declining for a year or more. Mr. Baker was 66 years old. and is survived by his wife and four children, viz: Messrs. A. R. and W. L. Baker, Jr., and Misses Mary Lou and Clifford Baker. He moved to this city about ten years ago. When a young man he enlisted as a confederate soldier at the outbreak of the civil war, and served throughout the struggle. He leaves three sisters-Mrs. James Woodrow, of Columbia, S. C., and Miss Cliff and Bessie Baker, of Marietta. The funeral services will be conducted from the Gainesville Presbyterian church, Rev. J. T. Ponder, the pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Alta Vista cemetery.
