Mattie Rogers Garner

Lula- Mrs. Mattie Rogers Garner, Lula, died Wednesday night at her residence in 
Lula after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from 
the Lula Baptist Church with the Revs. G.A. Cronic, George Wallace and Harvey 
Smith officating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
Born in White county, Mrs. Garner has resided in Lula since 1919. She was a 
member of Lula Baptist Church most of her life.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Alexander Garner, Lula; three daughters, 
Mrs. C.E. Thompson, Lula, Mrs. Luther Thompson, Lula, and Mrs. Harry Davis, 
Atlanta; one hald brother, George Rogers, Atlanta, two sisters, Mrs. T.W. Tate, 
Lula and Mrs. E.F. Whitworth, Lula; two hald sisters, Mrs. M. Faye Bennett, 
Lithia Springs and Mrs. Claretta Biggers, Pompano Beach, Fla.
Ward's Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Amanda Margaret Rogers Garner was born Jan. 4, 1880 to John Cicero Rogers and 
Sephronia Carter Rogers. She is buried by side of husband, Henry Alexander 
Garner at Westview Cemetery, Lula, Ga.
