MORTUARY.

Gainesville, Ga., August 6-
The funeral of Lawson H. Hope, one of Hall county's oldest and most esteemed 
citizens, was held here today, the interment in Woodlawn cemetery.  Mr. Hope 
was a confederate veteran.  Enlisting in Edward L. Thomas' brigade in 1861, he 
served throughout the entire struggle.  In addition to his wife, Mrs. Missouri 
Hope, he is survived by eleven children.  He was a member of St. Paul's 
Methodist church here.
