Deaths in Hall County.
Gainesville, Ga., April 15-
Mrs. James S. Latham [see Comments section] died at 5 o'clock this morning at 
her home, near Balding's bridge, at the age of eighty-six years.  She was the 
mother of Messrs. P. A. and J. S. Lathem, of Gainesville.  The funeral occurs 
tomorrow.

Additional Comments:

I believe there is an error in this obit and that the deceased is Jane "Jinnie" Roark 
Latham, and her spouse was George W. Latham.  Both are buried in the Antioch
United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Jinnie's tombstone has the same death date
as in this obituary and she was born February 29, 1812 in South Carolina.  She
married George on March 04, 1828 when she was 16 years old, George died January 08, 1861.

In the 1860 Hall county census, the children mentioned in the obituary are 
living in the household of George W. Lathem/Latham and Jane M. Lathem/Latham.

Sarah Caroline Lathem, b. Dec. 5, 1828, d. Jul 31, 1896, married Gideon Martin Dec. 26, 1846 in Hall County

John S. Lathem, b. about 1834, married Nancy B. Welchel October 23, 1853

William A. Lathem, b. Jun 2, 1836, d. July 26, 1902, married Mary Ann  Welchel

George W. Lathem, b. Mar 3, 1839, d. February 09, 1897, married Mary Elizabeth Taylor

James S. Lathem, b. Dec 8, 1844, d. January 20, 1908, married (1) Celia Q. Young; (2) Cloluta T. Sewell

Mary Susan Lathem, b. about 1846, married Lindsey D. Oliver

Jefferson H. Lathem, b. October 27, 1849, d. June 17, 1917, married Sophronia Bryant

Page A. Lathem, b. Feb 2, 1851, d. April 05, 1919, married Emily Jane Prater

Andrew J. Lathem, b. about 1856; married Mary
